Condition

Sheet browned with slight lightstruck margins, upper corners with drawing pin holes, lower left corner with minimal bumping, traces of old mounting on the reverse. In very good condition

Commentaires

Giovanin da Vöja came from the village of Villa di Chiavenna, a village in northern Lombardy, and served several times as a model for Giovanni Giacometti. An etching with the portrait of the farmer from the Sondrio area as well as a painting with his likeness are in the Kunstmuseum Chur.

Blatt gebräunt mit leichten Lichträndern, obere Ecken mit Reissnagellöchern, untere linke Ecke minim bestossen, rückseitig mit Montierungsresten. In sehr guter Erhaltung

Erläuterungen

Giovanin da Vöja stammte aus dem Ort Villa di Chiavenna, einem Dorf in der nördlichen Lombardei, und diente Giovanni Giacometti mehrfach als Modell. Eine Radierung mit dem Porträt des Bauern aus der Gegend von Sondrio sowie ein Gemälde mit seinem Bildnis befinden sich im Kunstmuseum Chur.
