    Commentaires

"Alberto Magnelli is a painter-poet of our time […] Not with the eyes of an impressionist, who sees and constructs a whole from a flood of details, but with a reductive and mathematical power of observation, in the sense that it tends to dissolve into a pre-ordained, intellectual and systematic painterly idea." (Enrico Somare, in: Foreword to Magnelli's exhibition at the Pesaro Gallery, Mailand, 1929).
