On the original stretcher, in the old nailing. Slightly rubbed at the edges of the image, with small paint losses especially in the lower area of the work. In fresh colours and good condition

Commentaires

In Cuno Amiet's sales book, there is a note regarding this small-format work about the exhibition "Kunst fürs Haus" from 1908 in Bern, about which nothing further could be found out so far. The same vase with the small bouquet of pink and purple ranunculus also appears in the oil painting "Stillleben mit blauem Ofen" (Müller/Radlach 1907.55) From the same year.

Erläuterungen

In Cuno Amiets Verkaufsbuch befindet sich zu diesem kleinformatigen Werk ein Hinweis auf die Ausstellung "Kunst fürs Haus" von 1908 in Bern, über die bisher nichts in Erfahrung gebracht werden konnte. Dieselbe Vase mit dem Sträusschen aus rosa und lila Ranunkeln ist auch im Ölgemälde "Stillleben mit blauem Ofen" (Müller/Radlach 1907.55) des selben Jahres dargestellt.
