Commentaires

Johannes Molzahn's "mechanistic" depictions consist of rhythmically structured lines, surfaces and often typographic elements. His affinity for graphic art is evident; in 1923 he was appointed head of the commercial graphics class at the School of Arts and Crafts in Magdeburg.

Erläuterungen

Johannes Molzahns "mechanistischen" Darstellungen bestehen aus rhythmisch gegliederten Linien, Flächen und oft auch typografischen Elementen. Man spürt seine Affinität zur Graphik; 1923 wurde er zum Leiter der Klasse für Gebrauchsgrafik an die Kunstgewerbe- und Handwerkerschule in Magdeburg berufen.
