Condition

On the old chassis, in the old nailing. Slightly rubbed through the frame at the edge of the image. In very good condition and fresh in colour

Commentaires

Lake Bitabergh lies not far from the Maloja Pass. It is surrounded by mighty fir trees, with the forest only thinning out on the southern shore towards the Pass dal Caval. Nearby is Lake "Cavloccio", on the shores of which Giovanni Giacometti kept a small hut for painting utensils and clothes.

Erläuterungen

Der Bitaberghsee liegt unweit der Höhe des Malojapasses. Er ist von mächtigen Tannen umgeben, nur am Südufer lichtet sich der Wald in Richtung Pass dal Caval. In der Nähe befindet sich der Cavlocciosee, an dessen Ufer Giovanni Giacometti eine kleine Hütte für Malutensilien und Kleider unterhielt.
