Françoise Gilot is depicted in the "Manteau polonais", the coat Picasso had brought her from his trip to the peace congress in Poland in August/September 1948, accompanied by Paul Éluard.
Picasso had begun lithographing the subject at the Ateliers Mourlot in Paris in December 1948 and completed it on 16 January 1949

Dargestellt ist Françoise Gilot im "Manteau polonais", dem Mantel, den ihr Picasso von seiner Reise in Begleitung von Paul Éluard zum Friedenskongress im August/September 1948 in Polen mitgebracht hatte
Picasso hatte im Dezember 1948 mit der Lithographie in den Ateliers Mourlot in Paris mit dem Sujet begonnen und am 16. Januar 1949 vollendet
