Erläuterungen

Viele Erinnerungen an seine Zeit in Witebsk scheinen durch das Fenster ins Atelier des Künstlers zu fliegen. Im Lebensbuch lesend ein Mann, über ihm schwebend eine Frau mit Kind. Der "Genius-Engel", zusätzlich gehalten in Grün, Chagalls Farbe der Inspiration, lässt den Blumenstrauss prächtig erblühen. Im Hintergrund seine Geburtsstadt mit den charakteristischen kleinen Häusern und der Synagoge oder orthodoxen Kirche mit Kuppel
