On cream wove paper (papier vélin), fixed on another sheet and additionally laid on backing cardboard. Sheet of the drawing slightly browned at margins. The cardboard with spots

Commentaires

The very detailed drawing is a study for the oil painting "Figure nue couchée au bord de la mer" from 1905 (Ducrey CR no. 567). In the painting, the female nude is no longer lying on a draped blanket on the sofa, but in the sand on the beach

Erläuterungen

Die sehr ins Detail ausgeführte Zeichnung ist eine Studie zum Ölgemälde "Figure nue couchée au bord de la mer" aus dem Jahr 1905 (Ducrey WK Nr. 567). Auf dem Gemälde liegt der Frauenakt nicht mehr auf einer drapierten Decke auf dem Sofa, sondern im Sand am Strand
