On 29 March 1891, Georges Seurat died of diphtheria. Two months later, his friends Paul Signac, Félix Fénéon and Maximilien Luce made an inventory of the estate in Seurat's studio, from which this drawing comes. On the reverse are details of the sheet and the two monograms of Paul Signac and Félix Fénéon

Auf cremefarbenem Papier, auf weiterem, minim grösserem Papier aufgeklebt und auf leichten Karton fixiert. Feine Zeichnung in insgesamt guter Erhaltung
Am 29. März 1891 starb Georges Seurat an Diphterie. Zwei Monate später fertigten seine Freunde Paul Signac, Félix Fénéon und Maximilien Luce in Seurats Atelier ein Inventar des Nachlasses an, aus dem diese Zeichnung stammt. Auf der Rückseite befinden sich Angaben zum Blatt und die beiden Monogramme von Paul Signac und Félix Fénéon
