Commentaires

The drawing is related to the illustration of the 4th line "Garde mon aile dans ta main" of the poem "Autre éventail" by the poet Stéphane Mallarmé (1842-1898). His poems are considered major works of symbolism. The subject can also be found in the right-hand part of the 1948 mural "La peinture du silence" in the "Salon Courbe" of the Paris Pavillon Suisse

Erläuterungen

Die Zeichnung steht im Zusammenhang mit der Illustration der 4. Zeile "Garde mon aile dans ta main" des Gedichts "Autre éventail" des Dichters Stéphane Mallarmé (1842-1898). Seine Gedichte gelten als Hauptwerke des Symbolismus. Das Sujet lässt sich ebenfalls im rechten Teil des 1948 geschaffenen Wandgemäldes "La peinture du silence" im "Salon Courbe" des Pariser Pavillon Suisse wiederfinden
