One of a total of 100 copies of the standard edition. Alberto Giacometti met the surrealist poet Michel Leiris in the summer of 1929 and remained on friendly terms with him throughout his life. "Vivantes cendres, innommées" comprises a series of poems written by the author during his convalescence after a suicide attempt, for which Giacometti created intimate portraits and views of his flat
