On the original stretcher, in the old nailing. Pastose colour application with craquelure. In very good condition and fresh in colour

From 1903 Max Buri lived with his wife and daughter in a stately house in Brienz close to the lake. He maintained close contact with the village population. The present work shows a characteristic depiction of a Brienz farmer

Ab 1903 wohnte Max Buri mit seiner Frau und der Tochter in einem stattlichen Haus in Brienz in unmittelbarer Nähe zum See. Er pflegte engen Kontakt mit der Dorfbevölkerung. Das vorliegende Werk zeigt eine charakteristische Darstellung eines Brienzer Bauern
