Depicted is the image of a shoe of the former Italian dictator Benito Mussolini which was presented in a shoe museum. It is an exact and true to scale preparatory drawing for the painting of the same name and size. Again and again, the "portrayed" everyday objects amaze us with their attention to detail and technical accuracy; with their concise and memorable titles, they themselves become surreal "representatives"

Bei der Darstellung handelt es sich um das Abbild eines Schuhs des italienischen Diktators Benito Mussolini, welcher in einem Schuhmuseum präsentiert wurde. Es ist eine exakte und massgetreue Vorzeichnung für das gleichnamige Gemälde im selben Format. Immer wieder verblüffen die "porträtierten" Alltagsgegenstände durch die Detailgenauigkeit und technische Exaktheit; sie werden mit den knappen und einprägsamen Titeln selbst förmlich zu surrealen "Stellvertretern"
