Ausgezeichneter Frühdruck mit starkem Grat und zartem Plattenton, auf cremefarbenem Papier mit Wasserzeichen "Japan" und Nebenmarke, mit breitem Rand. In sehr schöner Erhaltung
Eine der grossen Seltenheiten im graphischen Werk des Künstlers. Die Kaltnadelarbeit hat keine Auflage erfahren und James Hofmaier sind in allen drei Zuständen gesamthaft nur fünf Exemplare bekannt geworden, vom dritten Zustand lediglich ein Abzug. Die handschriftliche Bezeichnung des vorliegenden Exemplars weist auf die Existenz von zwei weiteren Abzügen des letzten Zustands hin. Insgesamt können heute vier Abzüge nachgewiesen werden, drei davon mit Dedikationen des Künstlers

One of the great rarities in the artist's graphic œuvre. No edition was published of this print and James Hofmaier only records a total of five impressions of all three known states and only one impression of the last state. The artist's inscription of this impression points to the existence of two further impressions of the last state. Overall four impressions can be accounted for at this stage, three of those with dedications by the artist
